Trends: What to wear for your Christmas Parties

When dressing yourself this holiday season or dressing your table there are fabulous finds in your own neighborhoods and in the stores to help you accomplish your style needs!

When dressing yourself this holiday season refer to gold, bronze and classic evergreens for your accessories their seasonal yet still spot on! You can also always opt for Dark Blue's and Purples with silver accessories.

Complete your look with a statement neckless...I've included a link and below!

When dressing your table, have some fun with it!
Source fabric from your local fabric store look for Red and Green Plaids, Polka dots, or light green paisleys...make sure you get it big enough for your table and roll under and sew the raw edges to finish it off...if you don't have a sewing machine your local dry cleaner could probably do this for you while you wait for about $10.

The best part of these do it yourself tablecloths is that you can reuse them come spring!

For you Glassware mix in the glasses you already have with Champagne and wine glasses from your local antique store. You can pick up a set of Antique Crystal glasses for about $2.00 which is more than half the cost of brand new set...and you get to own a piece of history.

When it comes to your holiday florals, mix in white delicate flowers with, Stargazer lilies, Red Barry's, and Roses for a fragrant, beautiful, and long last arrangement...you can do a large arrangement yourself for about $20 instead of the $80+ that your florist would charge!

Trend Alert! Tangerine Tango the IT COLOR for 2012?

Here we are just a mere 24 days away from ominous 2012 and the Color setting extraordinaire Pantone has announced that "Tangerine Tango" is the go to color for for everything.

How do I feel about this?  I must admit, I like the color, but do I love it? Not particularly.

To me it doesn't necessarily read Tangerine, it kind of say's hello look at me, this was part of my "Sexy Pumpkin costume for Halloween."

Now, it's more of a Rich Pumpkin than anything, and I do see it working with a variety of different skin-tones but I am telling you right now, come April or May Polo Ralph Lauren is going to have a huge rack of this complete with some giant embroidered horse.  That is if they don't already have it in the shop!

My Quest for My Holiday Outfit & How You Can Get It Too!

Rufskin's "Adnan"
As many of you know I have been on the quest for my holiday outfit!  With the aid of Pinteres.com I was able to get design and style ideas. As the days have gone buy I have been able to source most of it.

Due to the fit of the jeans to the left and my fashion knowledge I knew instantly who I was dealing with! I went to Rufskin Denim, now these jeans are the Adnan, which are are cigarette skinny...now I have skinny jeans but I don't wear them every day, so, always trying to get the most bang for my fashion I went with the boot-cut Cooper which goes with everything I own!  My only problem is that the cooper doesn't seam black enough
Rufskin's "Cooper"
So I might dye them black, which I have only dyed things once in my life...eeekkk.  Who knows I will probably love them right out of the box!

NEXT-I was on to the Boots, in the Pinterest photo this guy is wearing 3-Buckle Equestrian Boots, now when you need an uncommon shoe of any type or hell just an odd item to begin with where does one go?  EBAY!!!!!!  I was able to find these boots...and I mean, these boots...get your own pair here.

With my feet covered...literally...I moved on to the shirts.  Now, I already have a White Collared Tuxedo Shirt but I am looking for a white sport-coat, H&M has one but I just know it is going to fall apart in like a day.
However, I must admit it is exactly what I am looking for...for the Piste de Resistance I have found this stunning Black Button Down Cardigan It is going to complete everything and tie it all together!!! Happy Holidays!

Women...Their Fall From Grace.

Why, oh why, do women not dress like these beauties all the time...is it because they wanted to enter the workplace and it was no longer practical?
If that were really true but you could dress like this everyday why would you want to go into the workplace...you could stay home and be fabulous!

Now my statements are purely hypothetical, and show an alternative view to the strong Alpha-females I actually know and love but how did we go from wearing these beautiful evening dresses and waking up and caring about how you looked to ugh look above to your right...I mean what is that...It's just awful.

Look at these ladies socializing, giggling and having tea on perfect white couches with wonderful checkered floors and amazing evening gowns enjoying what wonderful things life has given us.

"Oh Margaret...were so rich!"

Now...we have Britney Spears in her breakdown days as a role-model for our girls.

I mean, there is so much cellulite in those thighs we could suck it out, boil it down and have the worlds richest cracker spread.

What black hole class and elegance was sucked into, I doubt I will ever know, but I do know one thing.  If I was a woman, I would wear this black little number as my nightgown and my slippers would be 9" Stilettos.

Halloween Ideas!

It is that time of year again...the weather is getting colder and the air is filled with the warm smells of wood burning fireplaces, so what is an individual such as myself to do?  Start planning for next years Halloween Festivities...DUH!!!

You may laugh at me for thinking so far ahead about such a fantastic holiday as Halloween, but girl please, one must start planning these things early, if you don't you end up wearing one of those wretched overpriced polyester costumes...That is not cool, nor classy!

So you must start planning months ahead so that you have time to flesh out your ideas, plan for manufacturing time, get in shape, organize friends and The Husband...SO...Without further adieu I present to you my possible Halloween creations for 2012!  It might be the end of the world after that, so I suggest you start planning too!

What are your Halloween costume ideas?

Dinner Parties, dishes and Thanks Giving Fashion!

We are inviting a friend of ours over for dinner tomorrow.  Now normally this isn't an issue but for those of you that remember we just got back from five days in Washington D.C. and the house was a mess before we left and the magic cleaning elves must have forgot to clean the house before we got back so it is still a mess...I took on two clients at work and so work has been quite hectic.

Luckily, I devised the fabulous menu last week!   We have plenty of wine, and vodka...I'll be serving:
-Pastichio
-Greek Pasta Salad
-Desert

I am still on the fence for the desert...should I make my famous cheese cake or should I make Lemon Cake with Meringue Frosting...or both...I need your help on this people.

While in DC I came across this fabulous boutique called Coco Blanca and I picked up these amazeballs Chain-link Napkin Rings now for $20 for a set of two they were a bit much...but I believe you would agree with me that they are totally worth it!!!!  I got the last six they had in the store...but they should be getting a new shipment in soon and they are available on their website www.cocoblanco.com or click here: Stainless Steel Mesh Napkin Rings.  Their delicate yet have a masculine edge perfect for The Husband and my table!

If you are looking for way's to dress your table for Thanks Giving I suggest you check out Cocoblanco, but if you are thinking of ways to dress yourself follow these simple trends:

Pea Coat's and Public Urination

So the Husband has been wanting this Pea Coat we found in a Google search ages ago.  I am finally getting around to making it, and just in time for the cold...actually with how cold it usually is in San Francisco, he could have been able to use it in June!  But it is absolutely fabulous and I have sketched my own design for it, pictured left...it is made with a beautiful black plain-weave wool, that feels just divine!  I was able to find black leather Gucci Buttons to top it all off!  I'm so excited!

Before I could start working on this fabulous design I had to repair the stand for my men's dress form...we are lucky enough to have a hardware store right down the street, so I took the form with me and walked in with it, and looked at the very straight men and asked if they could help me make a stand...they were so excited, they all wanted one and one even asked where I got it.

Luckily, with a rag-tag hodgepodge of parts, a screwdriver, some sweat and an eventual burning palm. I felt very butch... and had a functional stand for my form.

I was working on draping the muslin on the form, getting the basic shape of the jacket.  Then, I happen to look out our sliding glass doors and I see an older man facing south his back towards me behind the fence of the beach...I'm like what's going on?!?

Then, between his legs I see a stream of liquid...it's like 4:30 in the afternoon, and this old man (probably drunk) is pissing in public!  I was absolutely shocked...only in San Francisco...well technically that isn't true, The husband did see a homeless woman pop-a-squat in the middle of the day in West Hollywood once...but this man wasn't homeless!

I know...It's fabulous!
THIS IS A BATHROOM USE IT!----------------------->
